I’m an Advanced Professional Member (APM) of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), the UK’s foremost editorial standards and training organisation. Read more here about the CIEP and what being an APM entails.

I also hold a first-class BA (Hons) in English Language and Literature, gained after studying for six-years part-time with The Open University around a full-time, in-house role and raising a family. I also hold a Diploma in the English Language (Dip ELS) and a Certificate in the Humanities (Cert Hums).

·  The Open University (2021) trained in the role of the highest-level in-house editor (Digital Development Editor (DDE) ) during an exclusive four-month contract. In addition to the usual editorial tasks such as copyediting, writing and proofreading, learned how to mark up copy in MS Word for Media Assistants (MAs) to transfer to the relevant online platform using the university’s xml software.
